ROLES:	Originally Designed as a Carrier-Based Fair Weather Fighter-Bomber for the U.S. Navy; Later developed into a Carrier and Land-Based All-Weather Multi-Mission Aircraft for the U.S. Navy/Marines and U.S. Air Force, capable of Fleet Defense, Close Air Support, Air Superiority, Long-Range Strike, Tactical Reconnaissance, Air Defense Suppression (Wild Weasel), and Continental Air Defense
